H&R Block - File Taxes on Time
As tax season drew to a close, H&R Block, like all tax assistance software providers, aimed to enhance the user experience to boost conversions on their online platform.
Problem Statement
How might we design our interface to minimize user friction and enable a seamless initiation of the tax filing process?
The Solution
While the primary goal was to minimize friction in the user experience, we aimed to go beyond merely creating another call to action (CTA).
Here are several design proposals we developed for the H&R Block team, tailored to their specific requirements. These designs not only reduce user friction but also instill a sense of urgency, motivating users to commence their tax filing process.
Results
With the introduction of this streamlined journey, which enables users to begin filing their taxes with just a single click, we observed a significant 65% increase in users landing on the signup page for the tax software. Additionally, there was consistent growth over the two-week period leading up to the end of the 2024 tax season.
